New Projects for Spring

Another month gone by, another successful month for Ebert Construction in landing some more work for the upcoming Spring and Summer. In the last month we have landed four more projects that will kick off once we get some warm weather and the ground starts to thaw out. This year has been a colder than average,  so our excavation subcontractors aren’t getting the jump on work than they have in the past but we have adjusted the construction schedules to make sure all the projects are finished on time!

Shortly after the last blog entry Ebert Construction was the successful bidder of the Fridley Classroom Additions for the Fridley School Districts. The project is actually two projects within one, two  elementary schools Hayes Elementary and Steven Elementary are getting nearly identical additions that will consists of five more classrooms and one set of restrooms for the students.  We were also awarded a project from MnSCU for the Inver Hill Community Center Library Renovation that includes mechanical and electrical upgrades as well as a much needed face lift to the library area. We kept the hot streak going by landing the Braham Community Center in Braham, MN,  which is located about an hour north of the Twin Cities area. That project consists of a 14,500 square foot wood framed community center that will include a new banquet hall, library and commercial for the City of Braham. The most recent project that we landed was a transportation center project for Scott County called the Marshall Park and Ride building. This project is unique in the aspect that it is taking a old car dealership that went out of business and transforming it into a Park and Ride bus transportation center. The project includes the renovation of the site with new asphalt and concrete as well as some renovations of the interior spaces for a waiting area for the buses.

March was a great month for Ebert Construction as we continue to log work for the upcoming months and look to continue that streak into April.

Ebert Construction Prepares for Spring

With winter still heavily upon us, here at Ebert Construction we are staying warm by keeping busy working on bidding projects for the upcoming Spring and Summer. Typically, February is when a lot of the school projects come out for bid so that planning can start as soon as the snow is gone and the frost is out of the ground. Due to the tight construction schedule on school projects we have to work with our subcontractors on their durations to make sure the kids will be ready to go come the first day of class after Memorial Day. As a construction company we don’t think of summer as being a relaxing time to enjoy the summer, we are continually working long hours and doing everything we have to do to make sure the schools are completed on time!

In the last month Ebert has been the successful low bidder on three school projects in the Twin Cities Area. The first is the Scenic Height Elementary Addition for the Minnetonka Public School District. The project consists of a 3,500 sq ft addition that includes a new music room and two other classrooms. The second is Parker Elementary School for the Elk River School District which involves a complete gut of the schools interior finishes as well as various mechanical and electrical improvements. The third project is for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU), is the Pine Technical College Addition. The project consists of 10,000 square foot pre cast addition that will build new space for the school’s technology, entrepreneurial, and business programs.

As the weather gets warmer (hopefully) the outlook for Ebert Construction remains bright and we hope that the construction industry in general is swinging upward.
